The 5th Spring School of the XL-Chem Graduate School of Chemistry took place in person and online on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. This key event gives future XL-Chem Master’s students the opportunity to discover their potential mentors and choose the research topic they will work on throughout their studies.
This year, several topics were presented to the incoming Master 1 class. After a general introduction to the program, participants attended presentations by the different project leaders. A replay was made available for those who couldn’t join live or who wished to revisit some of the projects before making their choice.
Students were then able to schedule individual meetings with mentors to discuss the proposed projects in mor
e detail. The chosen topic will also determine the country where students will complete their Master 2 internship, as each project is part of an international collaboration.
Joining XL-Chem means entering a top-level chemistry program, attending high-level scientific courses, and building a personalized academic path aligned with one’s professional goals. It also means experiencing a unique international journey, directly connected to the major challenges of modern chemistry.
The 2025–2026 cohorts of Master 1 and 2 students will begin the academic year on September 1, 2025, during a new edition of the Autumn School, which will take place this year in Caen. Several highlights are planned… stay tuned!
