In our XL-CHEM master, you choose your courses!

The specificity of the Master’s degree in Chemistry at the XL-Chem Research University is that it allows students to select the scientific courses they wish to take from the portfolio of courses offered in all Masters in Chemistry at the Universities of Caen, Le Havre, and Rouen. This specificity enables each student to adapt their course of study according to their professional goals.

In our Master’s program, students are free to create a tailored curriculum based on their professional objectives, with 30 ECTS credits over the three semesters of the program. Among the available courses, those offered in English in the Masters in Organic Chemistry at the Universities of Rouen Normandie and Caen Normandie may be of interest to many of you!

Master in Organic Chemistry for Life and Health at the University of Rouen Normandie – France

OUR GOAL: TRAINING HIGHER-LEVEL EXECUTIVES IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY

The main objective of the courses in the Master of Organic Chemistry at the University of Rouen Normandie is to train higher-level executives in the field of organic synthesis, at the frontiers of the fields of health, materials, perfumes and cosmetics, among a great diversity of industries particularly well represented at the Normandy level within Pharmavalley.

DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS AT THE HEART OF THE PROGRAM

Acquisition of a general scientific culture in organic synthesis and analytical chemistry, particularly in the field of the synthesis of natural molecules, molecules of biological and industrial interest and knowledge of modern methods in organic chemistry (selective, catalytic, eco-friendly reactions).

Development of initiative, autonomy, intellectual rigor and effectiveness of the work method. This is achieved in particular through the realization of a research project, during which the student becomes familiar with the techniques and equipment.

Development of oral and written expression skills as well as the ability to use general knowledge during written presentations and oral defenses. The emphasis is on these skills to train complete students, ready to integrate the professional world.

Master in Organic Chemistry and Interfaces at the University of Caen Normandy

A UNIQUE AND COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY AND INTERFACES

The objective of the Organic Chemistry and Interfaces program at the University of Caen Normandy is to train students with high-level knowledge in the fields of synthesis of organic and organometallic molecules, polymers, catalysts, their structural analysis (modern spectroscopies), and the study of their physicochemical properties.

The objectives of green chemistry will be addressed by the use of renewable resources and new clean and fast synthesis technologies. These fundamental teachings are complemented by an English language course.

This training also allows students to acquire practical skills during an internship in a public or private laboratory.
